Someone once gave me a great piece of advice--watch your mileage in the Spring. It has nothing to do with the cicadian rhythms or the cycle of the moon, but the desire of every runner to get outside and enjoy the warming weather.
For the last few weeks, I've been rushing home from work a couple of days a week to go for a run before it gets dark. I love running in this weather. But it's easy to dial up the mileage and not even notice. So, keep an eye on your weekly mileage and don't increase it more than 10% a week to help prevent an injury.
